In therapy Rob focuses on a comprehensive, holistic, and client centered approach using the following therapy models that he has had experience and training: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a Strength Based and Solution Focused approach, Trauma Informed Care, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Practice and Seeking Safety.
Rob graduated from the University of Utah with Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology, and his graduate degrees in Social Work and Public Administration. Rob’s experience includes elementary education, juvenile justice, corrections, community mental health and private practice. Rob got his start with Granite School District as a Behavioral Health Assistant, working in diversion programs for the 3rd District Juvenile Court, then as a corrections officer for the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office, case manager for Valley Behavioral Health, and later as a therapist for the Utah Department of Corrections.
Rob’s personal interests include DIY, cycling, the great outdoors, gardening, and art.
