BIO: Linda has worked for Family Counseling for a total of 5 years split between other counseling employment. Linda was a military wife for 23 years. While in the military she was trained as a substance abuse facilitator through the University of Arizona. She taught substance abuse prevention and intervention on military bases and onboard military ships in port. She served as Ombudsman (a communications liaison between the Captain and the families at home) for the USS Eisenhower. She later went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree at Utah State University followed by her Master’s Degree in Social Work. She has had Critical Incident training through the Red Cross and the US Post Office. She has spoken at church groups about marital issues, depression and self-esteem.
Off the job, family is Number One with a blended family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoys playing piano, needlework and going to concerts and movies. For Linda, seeing clients work hard to change their lives for the better is amazing and rewarding. She believes therapy should always be about the client and not the therapist. Being a military wife has given her a broad base of experience with all kinds of people.
